Privacy policy

How image files, website requests and third-party advertising are handled.

Last updated:

1. Scope

This policy applies to photo splitter at photosplitter.org. It distinguishes the local image tool from the network requests needed to visit the website.

2. Website requests and messages

The hosting provider may handle technical request data such as your IP address, browser information, requested URL and access time to deliver and protect the website. If you email us, your email address and the message are received by the mailbox provider. Do not send confidential images or unnecessary personal information.

3. Your image files

Selecting a file gives the browser access to that file for this operation.

  • Image reading, preview, cutting and ZIP generation run locally in your browser.
  • The splitting tool does not upload your image files or pieces to a server.
  • There is no public gallery, user account or server-side image archive.
  • Keep your original file; remove the selected image or close the page when you finish.

4. Cookies and current services

The image-splitting application does not set cookies or load Google ad code. The hosting service adds a Cloudflare Web Analytics beacon to the published website to measure page visits and loading performance. This creates analytics network requests, separate from local image processing; the splitter does not send selected images or split pieces to Cloudflare. Hosting and email providers have their own data practices.

5. Google advertising, if enabled

If Google AdSense advertising is enabled, Google and other third parties may place or read cookies, use web beacons, and process IP addresses or other identifiers to serve and measure ads, including personalized ads where permitted. Advertising code must only be enabled after required notices and consent controls are in place. For visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland, this includes a Google-certified consent management platform where required. You can manage ad personalization in Google My Ad Center and read how Google uses data from partner sites using the links below.

6. Choices and requests

You can manage browser storage, use your browser privacy settings and contact us about website data or messages you have sent. No image archive is held by this tool; hosting logs and email messages are different from image files.

  • Clear browser cookies or storage using your browser settings.
  • Use Google My Ad Center for Google ad personalization choices if advertising is enabled.
  • Email privacy questions or data requests without attaching private images.
